My journal updates, much like Santa, apparently only come once a year.

So yeah. A lot of stuff has happened since what, October whenever the heck I last updated anything on here? The biggest thing is that I applied and got into grad school for Neuroscience. So I'll be starting that in the fall (at the same university I've been at for undergrad, so I'm  only really moving across town).

Also, I'm spending a decent chunk of the summer here, since I need money, and also there are projects in the lab I want to work on. Can I just say that gene cloning has been a pain in the butt lately? I might also get to do some actual science in the lab where I get money for working (as opposed to the one where I get research credit). Still, I think my most lasting contribution to that lab will probably be the rubber band ball of significant size I've been working on.

Anyway, that is the super-condensed version of what's been going on (leaving out the no-good, very bad, awful couple of months I had in there due to family issues among other things).

But that's over, so, to get to another point!

I'm pretty excited. We have a hotel room at the Hyatt. Unfortunately, I can't get there until late-ish Friday due to having school stuff Friday morning, but whatevs.

Things I'm looking forward to include the Supernatural photoshoot and our group's Sherlock photoshoot. (Although any other Sherlock cosplayers are welcome. I think no one just really got around to making it an official thing? I dunno. Poke me if you want in.)

For Supernatural, I'll be going as Gabriel (with a bucket of candy.) I am excite. Although, we're going to try and do a Hammer of the Gods thing, but we don't have a Lucifer yet. Anyone happen to know any Lucys who'll be going?

I'll be Moriarty for the Sherlock shoot, and then the rest of the time I think I'm going to be wandering around as the Once-ler. (herp de derp.)
